The mission of Goodwill of North Georgia is to put people to work.
- Established locally in 1925, the non-profit agency is an affiliate of Goodwill Industries International, an association of more than 180 Goodwills in North America and 14 Goodwills in other parts of the world.
- We serve a 45-county area in North Georgia.
- In 2009, we provided job training and job-placement services to 22,367 people.
- We also helped 4,692 people find jobs with an average wage of $9.90 per hour.
- Our donated goods program helps generate funding for our job training and placement programs.
- Goodwill of North Georgia’s Donor Services Department is the first donated goods business in the world to become ISO 9001:2008 Registered.
- Our organization currently operates 33 stores and more than 50 attended donation centers in the North Georgia region.
- Last year, we served nearly 1.4 million donors and 3.6 million customers.
- Our organization operates seven free, open-to-the-public, full-service career centers.

Our Career Services department helps people with barriers to employment become constructions workers, office workers and even business owners.
