Does Goodwill offer computer training?
Yes. Periodically classes are offered at our seven Career Centers and led by volunteers. Most locations also have a computer lab to provide training for those already enrolled with Goodwill training programs.
 
Who does Goodwill serve?
Goodwill serves many types of people throughout its training programs and services. While our Career Centers are open to the general public, our training programs are designed to serve people with disabilities, Veterans with disabilities, immigrants and refugees, ex-offenders, low-income individuals, those who are under-employed, or homeless.
 
How do I find out more about Goodwill Training programs?
Click here to view a list of Goodwill training programs. You can also find program information by visiting one of our seven Career Centers or by attending a program information/orientation session. Please refer to our class/orientation schedules for specific dates and times. You may also find out about Goodwill training opportunities by asking any agency you may currently be working with.
 
What's required to enroll in a training program?
Each program has its own eligibility criteria. Contact us to learn about requirements for a specific program. You may be referred by an agency such as the Department of Labor Vocational Rehabilitation, Veteran’s Administration, county Workforce Investment Boards, a state or local government entity or other non-profit organizations. Take a look at our class/orientation schedules for upcoming sessions.
 
Does Goodwill hire program graduates?
Yes. Many program graduates find that Goodwill is an ideal place to work after completing training. Are Goodwill's services free?
Most of Goodwill training programs are offered at no cost to the participants. Funding for those programs comes from a variety of sources including federal and state contracts and grants, United Way, and from people like you who donate and shop in our stores. Our seven Career Centers are free and open to the public.
